James Marsden - 'Fred O'Hare' in Hop
What's it feel like to be in the first big Easter movie?
James Marsden: "It's pretty exciting. I didn't realize that when I started the film. There's been plenty of Santa Claus movies, Christmas movies, but this is the first Easter film so there was a little responsibility there. So, it was cool. I try and, every now and then, do a movie I can take my kids to and enjoy with them, so that was big part of it."
And you got to work with beanbags and other things. What was that like?
James Marsden: "I'll tell you, I was acting to nothing - just a piece of green tape - and Greg Ellis' voice off camera for me. This is the man, the voice of the Easter Bunny off camera. He saved my life."
How important was that to have someone there?
James Marsden: "It was vital. Russell was shooting Arthur and so he couldn't be on set, and so Greg came in to help me out and it was a massive help. Because when you can't look at your co-star, you want to at least be able to hear him or smell him or something, you know? A few of the senses have to be activated, so he helped out big time. But it was a very technical process."
What about those Three Stooges rumors?
James Marsden: "I can't really comment on them right now. It's not..."
