Ginnifer Goodwin – 'Gigi' in He's Just Not That Into You

This film has a lot to do with there's always an exception. Are you the exception?

Ginnifer Goodwin: "Well I think I have to aim for being the rule. I think you can't plan for the exception. That's kind of, I think, part of the point of the book and part of the message that we're trying to put across with the movie. That we waste an awful lot of time trying to work the wrong people, trying to fit the wrong people into our lives and also trying to make ourselves fit into people's lives in the wrong way. I think that the exception has to be accidental."

How easy is it for you to tell your friends he's just not that into you?

Ginnifer Goodwin: "Well ever since I started the movie I've felt a very deep, unfortunate obligation to tell my girlfriends when I thought maybe the guys were up to no good, or maybe they weren't showing my girlfriends the kind of attention my girlfriends deserve. And so I've been able to actually, I think I have it easier than most people in that I can say this because I'm in the movie, but he's really not that into you."

Did you love this character?

Ginnifer Goodwin: "I love it. I've never played a character so close to home."

Really?

Ginnifer Goodwin: "Absolutely. I humiliate myself on a daily basis. I have certainly chased, often, the wrong man. And I love falling in love. And yeah, I have to say Gigi hit close to home."

Bradley Cooper – 'Ben' in He's Just Not That Into You

The video* that you guys did is fantastic.

Bradley Cooper: "Oh thanks."

Did you guys get to do that or did they give you a script and they worked off it?

Bradley Cooper: "You know, the writers really worked hard on that script. We came and we shot it in one day. You know, we got to flower it with our own sort of stuff. But, yeah, it was written and they worked on it hard. It was a lot of fun. We shot it one day at the producer's home. Ken Kwapis directed it. It was great."

What's the best advice you can give to somebody who doesn't know somebody's not into them? [Note: Yes, I know it's a confusing question and I should have worded it much better!]

Bradley Cooper: "Someone doesn't know? Ask them then."

You have a friend, someone's not into them but they don't know that person's not into them?

Bradley Cooper: "But I know that? Oh, I'd stay out of that. It's going to have to work itself out. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Once you get involved in that – no, no, no, no, no!"

Is this the type of movie you'd see? Would you spend money on a chick flick or a romantic comedy?

Bradley Cooper: "The truth is no, until I saw it a couple of weeks ago and then I'm glad because I would have been wrong not to go. And that's the truth. It's a really good movie."
