Jamie Chung and Emily Browning - Sucker Punch
What did he put you through in this movie?Emily Browning: "Oh wow, I mean Zack was kind of just... It wasn't so much Zack personally that put us through anything tough, it was kind of the trainers. We had Navy SEALS training us and it was sort of..."
Jamie Chung: "Good cop/bad cop." Emily Browning: "Yeah, it's true. We kind of had that whole thing and Logan was definitely the bad cop. They were just like beating us up every day, but in the end we sort of grew to love it. It was like it became necessary. We became kind of addicted to working out every day."
Who would you guys be in your fantasy world?
Jamie Chung: "Wonder Woman."
Emily Browning: "Wonder Woman? Yeah, she's a babe. I don't know. I really don't know. I was just about to say that I'd probably be a Dragonball Z character which is kind of weird."
What about people who think Comic Con is just for boys?
Emily Browning: "I mean, yeah, I think maybe it's always just been more socially acceptable for it to be for boys, but I know heaps of girls that are total geeks. And I thinks it's awesome. And I think it's cool now that Sucker Punch is coming out, there's going to be six more girls that people can dress up as."
So it's not just action, there is a relationship between you guys. How'd you develop that?
Emily Browning: "Well, I think the action and the training helped us kind of get into that because we bonded so much when we were training together. Yeah, and so it sort of happened really naturally because we all genuinely kind of love each other."
Jamie Chung: "You suffer together and you cry together, it's definitely going to bond you. And we had our cheat days, because we were on strict diets."
Emily Browning: "Yeah, Wednesday nights we would go out on Wednesday nights."
Jamie Chung: "And not tell anyone."
Emily Browning: "And eat chocolate cake."
Jamie Chung: "And order every dessert on the menu."
Emily Browning: "It was a good way to sort of, if the trainers were the bad guys, we were sort of able to be like our little cheeky crew together."
What's it like working with Zack Snyder?
Emily Browning: "It's awesome. It's really amazing to work with someone who knows exactly what they want, who has such a clear, precise vision and yet nothing is taken too seriously. It's like we're able to just bond and hang out, and we all got along so well. It was hard work but it was a pretty chilled set, which was really cool."
Jamie Chung: "It was a really great collaboration too, because he was really patient with our backstories. We had barbecues and got to talk about our characters. He's really meticulous."
Emily Browning: "He really wanted to make sure that everyone had something to say, had a part in his vision. It wasn't just about him, so it's really cool."
