David Zayas - Dexter and Skyline
I want to more about Skyline now that we've seen the trailer. It looks freaky.David Zayas: "It's going to be really a shocking, cool movie. It's about aliens coming taking over not only LA but the world. So it's going to be interesting, and little ol' me trying to survive along with four or five other people."
It looks like you guys are stuck together in an apartment or something?
David Zayas: "Well, we're in a high rise, you know? And there's a lot of stuff happening around us and we're just trying to figure out the best way of surviving. You know, that always brings out the best and the worst in people."
Do we ever see the aliens?
David Zayas: "You have to go see it to find out."
Dexter is rocking. Thanks for turning me on to it. It's going to get better as we go on into the season?
David Zayas: "It always gets better. The season always takes twists and turns, and it always comes around. We've got some of the best writers in television. Stay tuned - it's going to be good."
Are you liking the fact you're married now?
David Zayas: "I love it. I mean who wouldn't want to be married to Lauren Velez. Awesome, right. She's amazing, she's talented, and is a lot of fun working with. I've known her for a long time and we have very good chemistry and I really enjoy our storyline."
Is your character going a direction you thought he would from the first season to now?
David Zayas: "I really had no expectations. I read one of the books, the first book, and my character wasn't really that prominent so I really had no idea. I like where they've taken it, the ups and downs of Angel Batista. I hope they continue doing that. But you know what? I just go with whatever they come at me. It's always fun as an actor to make those challenging moments happen."
