Danny Huston – 'Jack Bennett' in Edge of Darkness

Now you play a sleazy guy. Is that easy to play a sleazy guy?

Danny Huston: "It comes very naturally. I wonder why? It somehow does, yes."

Is it a fun thing to play, because you sometimes get to play the bad guy?

Danny Huston: "The bad guys are, in a way, they're more meaty. They have more dimension to them. And I like to try to bring the good side of the bad guy so that they're not so clearly delineated."

Exactly. It's easy to go overboard and sell the fact that they're bad. You kind of have to rein that back in, right?

Danny Huston: "Yes, at times. And other times you just let it rip."

What was it like working with Martin Campbell?

Danny Huston: "With Martin Campbell – an absolute delight. He's an old pro. I think, in a way, we have a good old-fashioned thriller on our hands, which is in a way romantic. It's about loss and grieving, and yet it has a lot of grit and scenes that are potentially exciting."

Potentially exciting? They better be exciting.

Danny Huston: "I hope they are."

And one question about Clash of the Titans. You play Poseidon – how was that?

Danny Huston: "Well I play actually it's a very, very small part that I have, except it's an extraordinarily large character. And yes, I play Poseidon and I'm in Liam Neeson's company. He plays Zeus, and also Ralph Fiennes who plays Hades. And we're just a bunch of gods, slightly bored, meddling with mankind."
