Writer/Producer/Director Chris Carter (The Untitled X-Files Movie)
First of all, why are you walking around with your nametag still?
Chris Carter: "I'm a collector of memorabilia."
Stuff from different conventions?
Chris Carter: "I have quite a collection."
How cool is it to be onstage at Wonder Con and there's this fan reaction that's just amazing after all these years?
Chris Carter: "It's unreal. It feels unreal. Sitting up there it's actually like, 'Pinch me.' It doesn't feel It feels like somebody else's life."
Isn't it a bit intimidating knowing what you've got to live up to with all these millions of fans that are still so looking forward to another X-Files project?
Chris Carter: "Of course you want to deliver. You don't want to disappoint people. So is it intimidating? I think that's the wrong word. I think it's inspirational."
Would you have changed anything back then, knowing you'd be making another movie in 2008? Is there anything you would have done differently to feed into this one, or does this one totally stand alone?
Chris Carter: "This is a stand-alone episode. Is there anything I would have done differently? It's hard to say. Actually, I haven't thought about that so I guess the answer would be no."
The hard thing about The Untitled X-Files Movie is that you won't say what the real title is. When are we going to hear the real title is?
Chris Carter: "I think that the real title and the publication of that, if you will, really are up to 20th Century Fox. I'll tell them right away."
How was it to get these two (David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson) back together and doing this project?
Chris Carter: "It's amazing to see them playing Mulder and Scully again. When we sat down to do a reading of the script, it was special, I have to say. We have spent, you know now it's 16 years of our lives together, and that's a big portion of all of our lives. So, it's wonderful."
