Cam Gigandet - The Unborn
So you're actually a more sympathetic character in this one than you usually get to play.
Cam Gigandet: "Right."
Why do you keep getting cast as the bad guy?
Cam Gigandet: "I have no idea. Apparently I do that well. No, that was definitely one of the main things that interested me about this movie is because I got to play someone different. He's actually a good guy who tries to do the right thing."
What exactly does he do? This is a really scary premise – how does your character fit in?
Cam Gigandet: "Well I'm there with Odette [Yustman] trying to… Whether I believe it or not, I'm removed from what's actually happening to her so I have to… That's where his love comes in because whether or not he believes her doesn't really matter. He just loves her enough that he knows that he has to be there and protect her as much as he possibly can while she's going through this."
What's it like being on a David Goyer set?
Cam Gigandet: "It was actually, you know, at first I thought it was going to be very professional and serious. But it was actually...I haven't laughed that hard. We had some good laughs and it was very fun. It was good."
One Twilight question for you if you don't mind… Are you ready for the fans reaction to this movie? We saw it here. They went crazy. Are you ready to be recognized forever as this guy that tries to kill Edward?
Cam Gigandet: "I don't know how you can be ready for… I mean, I wasn't ready for Thursday. You've just kind of got to hang on and go with it."
