Alex O'Loughlin - Hawaii Five-O
I was a big fan of the original Hawaii Five-O, so how does this stack up to it?Alex O'Loughlin: "Well, we've only shot the pilot so I don't know. But I've seen it and I think it's really good. It's a contemporary - aggressive, contemporary version of the original. And I hope you like it. I've got some big shoes to fill, you know?"
That's it - it is big shoes to fill. So how do you do that and still make it your own, while still paying homage to the original?
Alex O'Loughlin: "Well, you've just got to do like you do any role. You've got to be truthful and you've got to sort of always go for truth, and do your work and find your character and remember the story you're telling. But I think we're in good shape. I think we're in good shape."
Is it a comedy/drama mix like the original was?
Alex O'Loughlin: "It's... Yeah, yeah. There's a lot of tongue-in-cheek stuff. Scott Caan plays Danno and I play McGarrett, and we're good mates and so I think that comes across."
