Patrick Wilson - 'Lynch' in The A-Team
Were you a fan of the original series?Patrick Wilson: "I was. I was indeed."
Why?
Patrick Wilson: "Why? Oh my gosh, I'm a child of the '80s. I'm one of three boys and there was no cable then. So between that and Dukes of Hazzard and a few other things, I mean that was my... Any action show you could watch, we were sucked in. We'd watch it all the time."
So as a fan, was it like to actually be on the set?
Patrick Wilson: "To be able to see the van, truthfully, for me was pretty cool. Hopefully I get to meet - I don't know if Dwight Schultz or Dirk Benedict if they're here, that would be really cool. I hope they are. I was a diehard fan so much I saw George Peppard do The Sound of Music in like 1982 because I was such a big fan. I go deep."
Do you think fans are really going to appreciate how you brought it to the big screen?
Patrick Wilson: "I think so. You know, the worst thing you can do is to try and go darker or more serious and say, 'No, we're going to change it up.' We have a lot of different nods to the TV show in there to say, 'We're with you, we've got it, we're just trying to have fun here.' I think that's why Joe's the perfect director for this."
The A-Team Director Joe Carnahan
Joe Carnahan: "In terms of this film, in terms of The A-Team, I haven't felt this way about a movie since Narc. I feel like we really did something special. I think that people who show up to see this movie are not going to be disappointed."
Jessica Biel - 'Charissa Sosa' in The A-Team
Jessica Biel: "My squad was awesome. We were one step behind. But you have to have that adversary, you have to have that opponent for these guys, so I was really excited to be that opponent."What did you think of the chemistry of all those guys?
Jessica Biel: "Those guys are like brothers. It's so weird. They're so perfectly cast, and all so cool and love each other so much. It's crazy."
Did they accept you as the only girl pretty much?
Jessica Biel: "They did. They were so kind. I mean, they tortured me a little - as they should, like older brothers do. But they were so good to me and warm and welcoming."
How did you prepare and workout?
Jessica Biel: "I worked out kind of normally because I didn't have to do anything different physically, per se. But we had an incredibly large amount of really serious, precise gun training and military training to learn how to work as a team and to learn how to run these weapons safely and in a controlled way. That was hugely important."
