Hey guys, Greyson Ferguson here for About.com. Today we're gonna take a look at Emeril's restaurant in Miami Beach.

Where to Find Emeril's Miami Beach Restaurant

In the heart of Miami's South Beach, there is a treasure trove of restaurants, clubs, bars, and anything else a socialite may want to explore. Emeril's, at the Lowe's hotel, is one such destination. Situated on the corner of Collins Ave and 16th Street lies the world famous chef's restaurant.

When visiting Emeril's, stop in before 8 p.m., otherwise you are fighting for a seat and the wait may take a while, especially during the winter months. It is recommended you call ahead for reservations. Your hotel's concierge or front desk should be able to perform this task.

Tips for What to Order At Emeril's Miami Beach Restaurant

To start off, the calamari is recommended. It is an original staple from Emeril's New Orleans restaurant, and is served with a drizzle of spicey cocktail sauce. The serving is more than enough to share with a friend or group, otherwise you may grow full before the main course is served.

On the menu there are several options served at all of Emeril's restaurants, but the grouper is native to Florida waters and is only served in the Florida restaurants (there is another Emeril's in Orlando). If you are dining alone, you can sit at the bar top in front of the kitchen, allowing you to watch all the preparation take place. On slow evenings it is even possible to talk with the sous chefs when they have a minute to spare.

Possibly the best part of the grouper are the cherry tomatoes accompanying the dish. These tomatoes have the skin removed, then sit overnight in a mixture of olive oil and spices, marinating to bring out an aromatic eruption of flavors.

To finish off, order Emeril's banana cream pie. It is the only dessert option that bears Emeril's name, so you know mow special the dish is to him. Again, this portion is large enough for you to share with other members of your party.

Emeril's Miami Beach Restaurant Can Be Expensive

Before you go, to be warned Emeril's is a bit on the pricey side, and some may consider overpriced for what you receive, but this is to be expected when visiting a restaurant with a famous chef's name attached to it. If you don't mind spending the extra money (the meal stated above with a cocktail totals over $100). Emeril's is an experience worth taking in.
