Hello, I'm Brittney Olin, for About.com. Today I'm going to show you how to make 5-Minute Salsa, a great dip or topping that's short on time but not on flavor.Ingredients for 5-Minute Salsa
You will need:- 1 28-ounce can of fire-roasted tomatoes
- 1 small onion
- 1 jalapeno pepper
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of lime juice
- salt
Make the 5-Minute Salsa
Open the can of tomatoes and empty it into a bowl. Finely dice the onion and garlic and add them to the tomatoes. Seed the jalapeno, finely dice it then add it to the mix.As a word of caution, be sure to wash your hands thoroughly after handling hot peppers and never touch your eyes or mouth before doing so or you're in for a world of trouble.
Finally add the cilantro, olive and lime juice and blend the ingredients thoroughly. There you have it, delicious salsa in just 5 minutes.
