And, because it is so golden, both the traditional and modern gift is gold. Gold represents the beauty of such a long-lasting relationship as well as one that is strong and resistant to corrosion.
Tips for Planning Your 50th Wedding AnniversaryA gift for her might be some type of gold jewelry with the 50th anniversary gemstone of either imperial or golden topaz. A gold watch or commemorative coin might be good gift ideas for him. Reaching this anniversary means you are more than likely retired or in your senior years, so you may not necessarily want more possessions or clutter in your life. If this sounds like you, then you may want to give each other a special trip somewhere or enjoy a visit to a the best restaurant in town.
