When you're doing a red lip, you want to keep the rest of your face clean and simple. Finding the right tone of red is very important. Some people think they can't pull off the red lip - they might just be using the wrong color of red. So, if you're fair-skinned, you want to stick to more of an orange-based brick red, and if you have a darker tone, go ahead and go blood red, and you'll be set.Apply the Red Lip Color
So, always with lips in general, choose a long-lasting formula - that way you don't have to worry about reapplying a million times a day. You're going to start off in the center, and you're going to build out from there. With red lips, make sure you get all the way inside your lip. And with red, you always want to apply a couple coats so it doesn't fade. And now you're going to take a reverse lip liner - it's basically just like a concealer pencil - and you're just going to trace the outside of your line.
