Materials You'll Need to Make Homemade Party Favors for a Rapunzel Party

Parties can be given more pizzaz by including homemade party favors. These party favors can be made with inexpensive craft supplies. To make your Rapunzel party favors you will need:

  • paper and colored bags,
  • Rapunzel stickers,
  • foam stickers,
  • a hole puncher,
  • crayons,
  • a hot glue gun,
  • black forks and plates,
  • multi-colored card stock,
  • vellum sheets,
  • a battery operated candle,
  • scissors or a knife,
  • balloons,
  • fabric stiffener,
  • tooth picks,
  • a pen,
  • party horns,
  • a crown for a template, and
  • string and ribbons

There are many Rapunzel themed stencils online that you can use as your templates.

How to Make the Gift Bags

Goodie bags are a nice to touch to start and end the party. For a Flynn Rider gift bad, fold the top down like a flap, and design the bag according to Flynn Rider's bag. Punch a hole where the latch will be and cut a small piece of string, tie it to the bag, and seal by gluing a small foam sticker to the bag with a string.

For a Rapunzel gift bag, print out the sun design, and stencil them out. Paste a Rapunzel sticker along with a few foam sticker decorations. Fill the bag with goodies, and seal the bag using your sun design with hot glue.

How to Make Themed Decorations/Party Favors

For the next party favor, you can modify a paper plate into a frying pan. Just glue a fork to the back of the plate with hot glue, and let it dry.

To make Rapunzel lanterns, trace a circle for the hole and cut out the circle. Glue the vellum over the hole, then glue the paper to form a cylinder and add the sun.

Next are mosh posh balloons. Paint the balloon with fabric stiffener and wrap the string around the balloon .

Flag tooth picks pennants can be used to decorate many things. Using a ruler, draw out a triangle. Cut out the triangle, and use that as a guide for other flags. Using two triangle pieces, put glue on one, place a tooth pick on the edge, and sandwich it between another the other triangle piece. Punch a hole through your foam sticker, and apply it to your flag. Cut a piece of string and tie a bow on the tooth pick.

Chameleon party horns are a really fun party favor. Cut out a chameleon head design, and use that as a guide to draw the other side of it's head. Draw on both sides of it's mouth, cut a circle out of white paper for the eye followed by a smaller circle using the paper you want for it's eye color. Next cut out a black circle for it's pupil and glue them all on the chameleon. Make a set of eyes for each side. Lastly, glue on both sides to the party horn.

You can make these adorable crowns to adorn your Repunzels and Flynns. Trace the crown on the construction paper, and cut the design out. Punch holes on opposite ends of the crowns. Cut two long pieces of thread, and tie them through the hole. Design the crown with your foam stickers and other decorations and you're finished.

Making party favors can almost as much fun as the Party. They can also give your child something to hold on to so they won't feel the party passed in such a hurry.
