Hi, I’m Michelle Tillis Lederman, the author of “The 11 Laws of Likability.” I have a few quick tips for you today on teamwork.
Job Interviews Will Discuss Teamwork
When employers are asking about teamwork, what are they trying to find out? Well, the want to know how you work with others. What is your preferred working style? Where have you had conflicts and how have you dealt with them?
They understand that everybody has workplace conflicts but how you’ve handled them and how you have worked with that person going forward is far more telling.
Learn from All Teamwork Experiences for a Job Interview
You’re often going to be asked about a bad teamwork experience. We’ve all had them and that’s okay. Share what you’ve learned about them, what you might do differently but don’t start bashing someone on the team. If you are still showing and feeling that anger, it’s a red flag for that employer.
