Hi, I'm Valerie Greenberg, entertainment and lifestyle journalist and I am here for About.com to show you how to pair together jeweled headbands with jewelry.
There are a number of different ways you can go about this and I selected many different pieces from all different price points so that you can get the look for less, and something a little bit more festive and jazzy.
Rose Gold and Hoop Earings
Today, I picked a dark, rose gold headpiece with hoop earrings. They're actually clip-on but they work very well together because the earrings are lightweight and the headpiece itself makes such a statement. These earrings and this headband paired together are excellent to wear with pretty much any outfit. This combination is sure to make any cocktail dress pop.
Pairing an Embellished Piece
The next piece I selected, it's a gold encrusted crown. I paired this with gold earrings as well and it's kind of lovely because Brooklyn Decker's actually been seen on the red carpet and we pulled this piece too.
The third and final headpiece that I pulled is a gun metal crown. Now, I love this piece because you can actually put your hair in a ponytail or wear it down because it goes to the side. I paired this with earrings as well - gold circles because they're more simplistic and it's quite a detailed piece.
A Drug-Store Headband
It's always wonderful when you can take a more cost-efficient route. That's why I love the Double Wear. It contains gold and silver so you can really pair it with any type of jewelry but I went with a Bangle. This is lovely because it's summer and it's all about those wedges, ladies. So, why not pair those two together?
A Jeweled Headband
It's summertime, so it's all about color. That's why I love this bedazzled headband that I paired with a Citrine Ring. As you can see there are a variety of colored stones on the headpiece, so you can match a ring of any color that would go with these stones.
