Hi. I’m Ayaka Hills of Hills Learning in New York for About.com. In this video, I am going show you how to pronounce the hiragana characters ら り る れ ろ (ra, ri, ru, re, ro).
Practice Japanese Pronunciation with RepetitionLet’s begin with ら (ra). (repeat)
ら (ra) is used to write らくだ rakuda, which means camel. らくだ rakuda, camel.
The next character is り (ri). (repeat)
り (ri ) is used to writeりんご ringo, which means apple. りんご ringo, apple.
Next, let’s pronounce る (ru). (repeat)
