Transcript:How to Find Storage in Hidden Spaces

Hi! I am Sarah Willis of Decor by Denise and today I am going to show you how to find storage spaces in hidden places.

Use Cluster Cabinetry for Storage in Hidden Spaces

It's important to use a lot of cluster cabinetry in these spaces. Instead of a sofa table, use a narrow cabinet with doors. That way you can close off games, magazines, books and glassware.

Consider Vertical Space for Storage in Hidden Spaces

Don't forget to take advantage of other vertical space you have in a room. Choose taller cabinets versus shorter lengths. Install shelving over sideboards and dressers and take advantage of the corners by choosing to put corner cabinets there.

Professional Organizers Can Help Find Storage in Hidden Spaces

Also it's great to hire a professional organizer. Everyone has junk drawers and Tupperware cabinets that just go away, but why not have a professional come in and organize them and take advantage of every ounce of space that you have in your room.

Create Storage in Hidden Spaces in the Bathroom

If you have a pedestal sink, it's a great idea to skirt the sink and to put toilet paper and soap underneath of the sink to free up more space in your linen closet.

Create Storage in Hidden Spaces in the Bedroom

In your bedroom, you can store seasonal clothes under your bed and short storage containers. If you find that your bed is too low, use lifts to height and space.

I know it can seem overwhelming at times, but with a few smart changes, you can make a big difference in maximizing the store space in your home. Thanks for watching.
