With a sales price of only $29.95 is MyHouse a affordable and yet powerful home design software. The installation process is comprehensible and doesn't require much more than a few mouse clicks. Unfortunately MyHouse doesn't run on a MAC. MyHouse offers many features that enable you to create a virtual version of your home. A feature called "3D Movie Maker" is especially noteworthy. It allows you to generate a movie tour of your home design. Considering it's low price, MyHouse delivers an acceptable quality of graphics and images. However, more expensive software offers a notable higher quality.The high number of features is a big plus of MyHouse.

Nonetheless that doesn't make it necessarily easier to figure out how to get the program to do want you want. In fact, it does take some time to understand how to use the different features and how to work with them efficiently.

Design Workshop Lite is a Design Tool for Beginners This is a free download suitable for simple home design projects. If you want more, you can purchase expanded versions of the software on CD-Rom for $19.95. The free download version is an easy but simplified 3D design tool for creating form in space. The 3D functions are quite advanced and pretty powerful for a free program. It does require a basic understanding of designing 3D models to use this software efficiently. However, even beginners should be able to create simple projects within a couple of hours of learning and testing.The drawback of HomeDesign Lite is, that it doesn't run on newer Mac-Models. It also lacks some tools that other 3D design programs offer.
