Hi, my name is Natasha Levitan for About.com Food. Today I'm going to show you how to make spicy veggie cutlets.Spicy Veggie Cutlet Ingredients
You will need:- 1 cup of frozen mixed vegetables
- 4 potatoes
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp dry chili flakes
- 4 tbsp vegetable oil
Cook the Cutlet Potatoes
Peel four potatoes and cut them into four pieces. Heat water in a medium saucepan and add potatoes and 1/4 teaspoon of salt and boil potatoes until they are cooked. You can check their status by piercing them with a fork.If the fork goes in and comes out cleanly, your potatoes are finished. Place colander in the sink and drain the potatoes. Rinse them with cold water.
Blend the Vegetables and Potatoes
Next, we will mash vegetables and potatoes. Place one cup of vegetables, potatoes, 1/4 tsp of salt, and chili flakes into a blender. Turn the blender on high until your vegetables and potatoes turned into a mash.Fry the Spicy Veggie Cutlets
Turn the heat on high and heat your oil. Place your a tablespoon of potato-vegetable mixture into the oil and fry until they're golden brown on one side the flip them over. When you vegetable cutlets are ready, place them into a dish lined with a paper towel to drain the excess of oil.You can serve your freshly made cutlets with a chutney.
