Hi, I'm Shane Murphy, your technology guru for About.comInstructions for Using Yahoo Free Chatrooms
Today we'll review how to use chatrooms in Yahoo! Chat.Start by clicking on the "Messenger" tab at the top and scrolling down to "Yahoo Chat." Now click on "Join a Room."
A two column list of categories and chatrooms will appear, with each room being labeled and organized according its respective topic.
When you've made your selection click "go to room" and then "enter chat" when the loading sequence finishes. Fill in the security word and you’re all set.
Like normal chat, your conversation is displayed on the left while everyone in the room is displayed on the right. Right click any of the user names and you can start your own messenger conversation with them at will.
