Hi, I'm Shane Murphy, your technology Guru for About.comToday we'll look at some of the ins and outs of facebook chat.
Locating Chat on Facebook
Your facebook chat can always be accessed via the small pop up window in the lower right titled "chat."Sending a Message on Facebook Chat
To send one of your friends a chat, simply click their name and a new window will appear to the left to message back and forth. If you want to erase your conversation when finished, you can click the "clear chat history" button on the top right.Changing Chat Options on Facebook Chat
Click the options button and you'll see a menu you can use to alter your chat options with friends and enable sound effects.Tips for Using Facebook Chat
You can create a separate window for your facebook chat by clicking pop out chat at the top of the options window. This provides you with a much larger screen space for chat as well.
