What to Note When Writing an Employee Recognition Letter
There are a few things to keep in mind as you sit down to write your letter, but before you actually write it. You want to keep it personal, but professional. Short and sweet, without a lot of big words, or getting too casual with colloquialisms. You want to send a letter close to the time of the event that you're praising. Specifically detail the kind of behavior that you are encouraging.

Say thank you and that the employee contribution is appreciated. Include what the employee did, and how it made a difference in your organization. You want to be concise, but sincere.
