Hi! This is Meghan Lynn Allen for About.com, and today we're discussing how to share inspirational quotes in the office.Quotes Should Reinforce the Office Mission
There are many reasons to share inspiration quotes in the workplace, and the first is to reinforce your mission. So, this is not just to be shared with employees, but with customers. You can put an inspirational quote right at the bottom or top of your professional letterhead.Inspirational Quotes Should be Shared
And don't forget that quotes aren't just about being the printed word, not just e-mail, newsletter, letterhead, but something you can share, perhaps at the beginning of a meeting or at the beginning of a day, talking around the water cooler. We use quotes for inspiration, motivation, and encouragement, a starting place for a discussion, or a way to focus on an idea or a train of thought. You just need to find the appropriate quote. You could look in a book of quotations you can find in your library. You can go online and search in your favorite search engine - Google, Bing or Yahoo, whatever it is - put in quotes, inspirational quotations - or inspirational quotations for the workplace - and you'll find lists of quotes to choose from.
Quotes by Recognizable Personalities Resonate
You might also want to think about quotes from famous people. People like to attach some personality behind that quote, so you could look up famous athletes, actors, musicians - or famous people in the field that you work in.Once your employees know you're the kind of boss who enjoys those inspirational quotes, why not change it up once in awhile and have a quote contest? Ask your employees for quotes that could be on the wall, or the company letterhead. Thanks for watching.
