Hi! I am Indira with Cinderella's Cleaning Services in Houston, Texas, and today, I am going to give the top 10 shortcuts for household chores.

For Kitchen Chores, Wipe Down Surfaces with an All-Purpose Cleaner

We are going to start with how to quickly clean your microwave. We are going to need an all-purpose cleaner and a micro-fiber cloth. Spray the towel and then you go inside and around all the areas in the microwave. The next shortcut is how to quickly clean your refrigerator. Now again, just like the microwave, we are going to use an all-purpose cleaner as well as a micro-fiber cloth. And in here it is safer to go ahead and spray inside. Don't forget that you have to get also the bottom of the shelf as well as the top.

The next shortcut is the oven. There are different ways to clean your oven; the way we are going to do it today because it's quicker is you need an oven or a grill cleaner. Spray the product. Most oven and grill cleaners are hard on your hands. So make sure you were a good set of gloves.  The next step I am going to show you is how to wash your dishes real quick. All you need is a scrub and some dish washing soap and you just basically scrub it and run it at the same time through the water and you let it drain for a bit and you can either dry them with a micro-fiber towel or you can let them just air dry.

Use Multiple Towels for Glass Cleaning and Dusting

The next shortcut is glass. One of the tricks is actually with the glass cleaners is that instead of applying it directly to the glass, you apply it to the towel and you start from top, left to right to bottom. Now I am going to show you a few tips on dusting. I have two micro-fiber towels. You use one towel to actually remove the dust and use a new clean towel with the product. The next shortcut is how to scrub a toilet. And we are first going to apply a toilet bowl cleaner. Grab a toilet brush and we start from top to bottom.

Motivate Children to Help with Household Clutter and Chores

So, now a shortcut on clearing clutter. I've brought some buckets and I've brought a trashcan to help categorize everything. You can use your laundry baskets or get the children involved in helping. In that way, it's easier; you just grab each one and go the place it belongs to and then put everything away. This shortcut is on helping you file paperwork. You get your mail, set it in piles. Anything that is unwanted mail, throw it in the trash. Anything else, arrange it as you go.

Another shortcut I'd like to share with you is how to be more efficient with your laundry. Try to get more than one hamper, so that as you take your clothes off, you can already separate them by colors, so that by the time you begin doing laundry, all you have to do is grab the bag and dump it in the washer and you are ready to go.
