Transcript:Find a Romantic Destination
Feeling like your love life is a little lacking? If your idea of date night has come to involve leftover pizza and watching reruns of old TV shows, it might be time to spice things up a bit. So grab your partner, take a look and get ready to find a spot for romance.Breaking From Routine
Getting away from your daily routine is one of the best ways to relax, unwind, and spend some quality time with the one you love. And the best part is, you don't have to have a ton of time to do this. Even if you can only carve out a mutually agreeable few hours, give these romantic spots a shot.Try getting outside if the weather permits. A trip to the beach or a park with a blanket and something to nibble on can be just what the love doctor ordered. Even a long walk through your own neighborhood can be a great way to get away, if only for a short while. Savoring a meal at a quiet, cozy restaurant can do the trick, too.
Weekend Getaways
If you've got a couple days to spare and some dough set aside, you might consider one of these great weekend jaunts:Taking a short cruise to nowhere can be a wonderful way to spend a few days with your partner, with fresh ocean air and everything you could possibly need right at your fingertips. Finding a quaint bed and breakfast nearby is a good way to spend a few quiet days alone, or if you enjoy the great outdoors, pack up a tent and some sleeping bags and go camping.
Or, if getting in on the action is more your speed, you might get your hearts pumping with a weekend getaway to Las Vegas. Hey, if you're not already, you might even come back married!
Week Long Trips
If you've got a week or more to get away, head for somewhere that sounds exciting to you both. All-inclusive desert spas are about as relaxing as it gets, or if you're up for some exploring, you might try an island getaway like Hawaii, Bali, Tahiti, or Fiji. Staying in a five-star hotel or resort can be another great way to pamper yourselves while you enjoy some much needed alone time.Romance Without Going Anywhere
Of course, sometimes finding the right romantic spot simply involve staying right where you are. Setting aside time that's TV-free, kid-free, and otherwise stress-free - while sometimes no easy task - can do wonders for rekindling old flames. Break out the candles, wine, breakfast in bed, whatever you both enjoy, and make the time all about the two of you.I'm Jonathon Stewart with About.com.
