Why Buy a High-End AV Receiver

Someone who wants to experience a true theater sound, or the ultimate in THX standards, & Dolby digital & DTS sound. The more power in a system, the more impact it has, the more detail you hear, the more articulation in sound, when you are looking at a receiver as far as cost, it is the way to go. The more power you can afford for that visceral experience the better. Things to loook for when buying them, how big of a room do you have, and how many speakers are in the system, how much of an impact that you want to have with an audio/video receiver. Some of them will go upwards of $2500. Most of the time a receiver that you spent more money on has a lot more power, much higher video processing , and audio enthusiasts can have the best of both worlds. Two channel, multi-channel surround sound for the best viewing of movies, of concert footage, very nice in surround sound.

High-End AV Receivers are Convenient

High end audio/video receivers are a neat product because they can combine so many things in one package. You have amplifiers for speakers, you have video processing, you have inputs for any source that you could plug into it, computers, Blue-ray players, DVD players, even a little vhs tape, if you have one of those still. Equalization programs that help optimize the room, room size, all the various anomalies in the room. If it has windows, if it is hard surfaces, or carpet, lots of furniture, bookcases, it makes all those adjustments and gets you the best sound possible. You can go and listen and demo a number of different models and brands, and find one that suits your needs the best.
