Best Practices for How to Clean Mushrooms Without WaterThe best way to clean mushrooms is with a dry bristle brush. Simply take each mushroom and wipe off any dirt or debris that remains on the cap and/or stem.
Additional Ways to Clean Mushrooms Without WaterIf you don't have a bristle brush, you can also wipe each mushroom down with a dry paper towel. Because mushrooms are porous, you want to avoid cleaning them with water, as they will soak up any liquid like a sponge and lose a great deal of their natural flavor.
