Transcript:Quick Tip: Write a Business Plan Funding Request
Hello, This is Jeff Stewart, Co-Founder of Creative Capital Group, speaking to you for About.com.
Today I'm going to talk about the funding request section of your business plan.
What is a 'Funding Request' Section in a Business Plan?
The funding request section is important, as it talks to your investors, and other sources of capital on how you're going to generate revenue, and the uses for the funds.
What to Incorporate in a 'Funding Request' Section
Overall, you want to first start with the amount you're looking to raise, and the type of funding that you're looking to secure. Next, you want to talk a little bit about your financial projections, and how they relate to your funding.
Third, you want to talk about how long that funding is going to last and talk about the burn rate you're going to have with that funding. Lastly, you want to talk about the key metrics that are in place from a financial perspective. Those include your revenue, growth, and costs.
I'm Jeff Stewart, for About.com, thanks for watching.
