Your homemade organic garden spray is a spicy mixture that will repel many of the insects that bother your garden. It's easy to create and requires only 10 minutes for preparation.

Organic Garden Spray Supplies

Things you'll need are:

• kitchen gloves
• spray bottle
• 1/2 cup of water
• 3 to 4 hot chili peppers
• 3 to 4 cloves of garlic
• 1/4 cup of dish soap
• enough water to fill remainder of spray bottle
• a blender
• a fine mesh strainer

Prepare the Garden Spray

Put water in the blender. Add hot peppers and garlic and blend until smooth. Strain the mix and place in empty spray bottle. Add dish-soap and fill the sprayer with water to the top.

Organic Garden Spray Tips

Your garden spray is ready but be sure to follow these important tips. When opening the blender, keep your face away as the fumes are extremely strong. Wear gloves when handling this mixture directly as it can be quite hot. Spray herbs out of direct sunlight. The sun can sometimes burn the leaves of herbs when wet with the soapy mixture. Although this spray is not poisonous, rinsing herbs before ingesting is recommended.
