Transcript:How to Prepare for a Brazilian Wax

Hi! I'm Michelle, a Licensed Aesthetician and I'm here today to give you tips on how to prepare for Brazilian Wax.

Notes About How to Prepare for a Brazilian Wax

Your hair needs to be at least a fourth-of-an-inch long to help the wax stick to your hair. You do not want your hair more then half-an-inch long. If it is, you might have to get it trimmed when you go in. If they do not trim it, it'll be extremely painful. So in between, a fourth-of-an-inch and a half-of-an-inch is best. You're going to want to clean the area extremely well before going, and getting a Brazilian.

Minimizing Pain to Prepare for a Brazilian Wax

You can also take a few Aspirin before you leave to help minimize the pain.A common tip people want to do is to use ice before waxing to help numb the area. This is not a good thing to do because it'll harden your skin, and not allow the hair to come out easily. You can wear whatever you like, but as you arrive at the spa or location you will be taking up your pants and underwear. Just make sure to wear what's comfortable to you, because the area will be sensitive after waxing.
