Want to make sorting through your photos a little bit easier? Learn how to search using tags in Photoshop Elements.

Hi I'm Don Schechter for About.com Computing. Today, I will show you how to search in Photoshop Elements using tags.

Select a Photo Tag to Search

  • OPEN Photoshop Elements
  • CLICK 'View and Organize icon
  • CLICK box next to the Favorites icon to choose only favorites*
  • SELECT the 'Not Box' next to the Favorites icon to see all pictures that aren't tagged as favorites
*If you are searching for a different and/or personalized tag (i.e. family photos) select the box next to that folder. You can also select multiple tags, narrowing your search by cross referencing.

Excluding Photos From Tag Search

  • RIGHT CLICK a tag
  • CHOOSE 'Exclude Photos' which helps for finding photos with one person/subject
