Transcript:Import Photos into Photoshop

Hi I'm Don Schechter for About.com Computing. Today, I'll show you how to import photos into Photoshop Elements.

Open Photoshop Elements

  • OPEN 'Photoshop Elements'
  • CLICK 'View and Organize Photos' icon.
  • CLICK 'File,' 'Get Photos,' or the 'Get Photos' icon in the toolbar.

Find Photos by Searching

  • CLICK 'By Searching'
  • CLICK 'Search'
  • CLICK 'Select All' to import all files and folders, or HOLD the 'Ctrl' key and CLICK on specific files/folders
  • CLICK 'Open'

Import Specific Photos to Elements

  • CLICK 'From Files and Folders'
  • HOLD the 'Ctrl' key and CLICK files/folders you want
  • CLICK 'Open'

You could also CLICK on files in a folder and DRAG them into the organizer.

Import Photos From a CD/DVD

When you select photos from a CD/DVD, either click the box if you only want to view photos offline (requires the CD to view), or do not click the box, saving the photos to your computer.
