Transcript:Restaurant Profile: Top of the World at Stratosphere Hotel
Las Vegas is filled with outstanding restaurants but the one that actually sits on top is Top of the World at the Stratosphere Hotel.
Where Is the Top of the World at Stratosphere Hotel?
Located on the 106th floor of the Stratosphere Tower at the north end of the strip, this restaurant not only has a view, it has some amazing cuisine.
Level 107 Lounge at the Stratosphere Hotel
But before you sit down to some fantastic food, you’ll want to enjoy Happy Hour at the Level 107 lounge. Just a short staircase from the main dining room, the lounge has a spectacular view and they serve 2 for one drinks. So sit back and enjoy until your table is ready.
Eating at the Top of the World
Now once you’ve been summoned to your table the first think you’ll notice is that the entire restaurant rotates. It moves a complete 360ºs in 80 minutes. So no matter where you start your journey, you’ll be able to enjoy every bit of Vegas and desert scenery.
Executive Chef Rick Giffen and Chef Claude Gaty have designed a menu that competes with the best restaurants in the world. Beginning with great appetizers then onto steak and seafood and finishing with decadent desserts, the Chefs at Top of the World are really flying high.
And speaking of flying high, you’ll most likely see a few thrill seekers fly by your window as they experience Startosphere’s theme ride, Sky Jump. As the signs says just wave as they go by.
What to Eat at Top of the World at Stratosphere Hotel
One of my favorite meals is the 4 course Tasting Menu accompanied by wine flights. Relatively speaking it’s a great price and its’ a great way to sample a wide selection of gourmet food and wine. Tonight I’m starting with Lobster Bisque, then moving on to Crab Cake with Green Papaya Salad. For an entrée I’m having Grilled Center Cut Filet with Red Wine Sauce and Royal Trumpet. And I’m finishing the meal with a duo of desserts. Simply Amazing!
So the next time you’re in Las Vegas be sure to make a reservation at the Top of the World. You’ll experience great food, great service, great wine and a view that you’ll only find 106 floors above the Nevada desert.
