Transcript:Las Vegas Casino Rules and Etiquette
While not every casino has exactly the same rules, there are some overarching rules of etiquette you should remember to make your gaming adventure a more enjoyable experience.
Rules of Thumb for Las Vegas Casinos
First lets start with the very basic. Hygiene. At most table games you'll be sitting or standing in very close proximity to other players. Be sure to shower and wear clean clothes.
Next, before you begin playing a casino game be sure you know the rules. It's alright to make an error once in awhile, but continually disrupting the game will become very frustrating to other players.
Here's a tip: many casinos offer gaming classes for each of their table games. Take the class! Making a mistake there is totally acceptable.

Next, play in turn. Whether you understand the intricacies of the game or not, there's really no excuse for playing out of turn. If you're unsure, just ask the dealer and in most cases the dealer will automatically alert you when it is your turn. So don't jump the gun.
Next, don't leave the table for an extended period of time. It is totally appropriate to take a bathroom break or a quick walk and leave your chips on the table. The dealer will watch out for them, but make it short.
Also, if you smoke be sure to use an ashtray and be aware of those around you when exhaling.

One, stack your chips with the highest denomination on the bottom and the lowest on top.
Two, make sure you only touch the cards in games where it's allowed.
Three, refrain from giving advice or whispering to other players, even if they are a friend.
Four, stay sober. Your fellow players and your wallet will thank you.
So don't be intimidated at a casino, just know the rules and you'll have a great time. Thank you for watching and for more of what happens in Vegas visit us at About.com.
