Transcript:Cheap Eats in Las Vegas
We all know that Las Vegas has some of the top and most expensive restaurants in the world. But if you're on a budget there are places that have great food at a low cost. Here are just a few of my favorites.
Options for Cheap Eats in Las Vegas
First let's to to breakfast at Boulder Station Casino. Located just minutes from the strip on Boulder Highway, this casino's Grand Café has some great breakfast specials that won't break the bank. For just under $7 you can order a sizzling skillet of 3 eggs, meat, hash browns and toast. And it is excellently prepared, not greasy and the service is outstanding.
More Cheap Eats in Las Vegas
Next let's eat lunch at Tacos El Gordo. Even if you have dinner reservations at a 5 star restaurant you'll want to enjoy lunch at this taco stand. It serves some of the best tacos anywhere, with hand carved meat -- and they have indoor and outdoor seating. This place is fantastic and I'm not sure whether the best part is that a taco is only $2 or that they are located right next to the amazing Encoré. That's right, just step outside of the Encoré, turn right and you're there!
Other Inexpensive Food Options in Las Vegas
Another great lunch option is just of the strip at Viva Arepas. Formerly known as I Heart Arepas, this Venezuelan shack serves a wide variety of authentic food at a low price. For instance a Beef Empanada is only $2. They offer outdoor seating right on Las Vegas Blvd.
Pizza in Las Vegas
And finally how about some great pizza for dinner in one of the most outstanding hotel/casinos in Las Vegas - the Cosmopolitan. Yes, the home of fabulous restaurants like Comme Ca the Cosmopolitan has my very favorite “cheap” restaurant - Secret Pizza. For only $5 you can have what some say is the best pizza west of the Mississippi. I think it might be the best pizza anywhere. The only trick is finding the restaurant. There are no signs, no maître ds, and no fancy menus. Just a simple unmarked door leading to maybe the best pizza on earth. OK, I'll give you a clue. Secret Pizza is on the 3rd floor near Comme Ca, D.O.C.G . and next to Jaleo. Just look for the unmarked door and enjoy.
And those were my favorite CHEAP EATS in Las Vegas.
