Hi I am Michele Jaco for About.com here with 5 Things to Do With Teens in Las Vegas.
Roller Coaster at New York-New York Las Vegas
First let’s start with the Roller Coaster at New York-New York. Located across the street from the MGM and Excaliber, New York-New York is one of the most recognizable theme casinos in Vegas. The Roller Coaster will lift you up 203 feet, drop you down 144 feet and leave you coasting at 67 mph.
Tournament of Kings Las Vegas
Next, let’s go across the street from New York, New York to the Excalibur and my number 2 adventure, the Tournament of Kings. This re-enactment of medieval times features a dinner show, invading armies, Dancing maidens, Jousting, Fireworks, and eating with your fingers
MGM Grand Las Vegas
Number three is just across the street at the MGM Grand. Teens who watch the popular "CSI" TV shows will love the interactive CSI: The Experience where they get to be the detective. It takes about an hour for the visit.
Stratosphere Las Vegas
Finally for number 4 and number 5 let’s move to the most northern end of the strip at the world famous Stratosphere.
This iconic Vegas landmark has several themed attractions that you won’t want to miss and my number 4 is Sky Jump. SkyJump provides the highest controlled free fall in the world. That’s right, you jump off the top of the Stratosphere and fall 108 stories.
And finally number 5 are the 3 rides on the upper decks of the Stratosphere, Insanity, X-Scream and Big Shot.
Insanity is a mechanical arm that extends out 64 feet over the edge of the Stratosphere Tower at a height of over 900 feet. This theme ride will spin you and several other passengers in the open air at speeds of up to three 'G's. You must be 54" tall and it costs about $12.
X-Scream Las Vegas
X-Scream resembles a massive teeter-totter and it propels you and several other riders headfirst, 27 feet over the edge of the Stratosphere.
Big Shot Las Vegas
And finally Big Shot launches you 160 feet in the air at 45 miles per hour up the Tower's mast to a height of 1,081 feet and down again, attaining four 'G's of force on the way up, and a feel of negative 'G's on the way down.
And those are my 5 things to do with teens while in Vegas.
