Transcript:5 Things to Do With Kids in Las Vegas

Hi, I am Michele Jaco for About.com here today with Five things to do with your Kids in Las Vegas.

Top Things to Do With Kids in Las Vegas

First the Adventuredome at Circus Circus.

Located on the northern part of the strip, this fun complex has some great rides like the Canyon Blaster, a 55 mile per hour roller coaster that takes you on the world's only indoor double-loop, double-corkscrew track. In addition there's water rides, kids rides and a great arcade. Height restrictions do exist and a daily pass is about $26.95 for kids 48" and taller and $16.95 for kids under 48". Admission to the dome is free and it is possible to buy single ride tickets as well.

Gondola Ride at the Venetian Las Vegas

Second, a Gondola Ride at the Venetian. Take your kids on a 14 minute Gondola ride at the Venetian Hotel and Casino on its man made waterway. The Gondola fits 4 and the cost is $16 per person - children 2 and under are free. You can purchase your tickets at the Venetian.

Other Activities for Kids in Las Vegas

Third, The M&M and Coca-Cola Stores.

These stores are located next to each other on Las Vegas Blvd across from New York, New York. There's a small theater with a 3-D animated M&Ms movie, and on the fourth floor there's a replica of the M&M's NASCAR. The Coca-Cola Store is right next door. On the outside is an impressive giant glass coke bottle and inside are shelves filled with Coca-cola branded merchandise.

Fountain at the Bellagio Las Vegas

The Fountain at the Bellagio is a water and light show choreographed to music on the eight-acre Lake Bellagio in front of the hotel. It spans 1,000 feet of water and soars as high as 240 feet in the air. The show is free and runs every half hour from 3PM to 7PM and every fifteen minutes from 7PM to Midnight during the week and begins at Noon on weekends and Holidays.

The Stratosphere Las Vegas

Located at the most northern end of the strip this iconic Vegas landmark has 3 great rides your kids won't want to miss – Insanity, X-Scream and Big Shot. All are located at the top of the tower, 1,149 feet above the strip and the cost is approximately $16 to reach the summit.

Insanity is a mechanical arm that extends out 64 feet over the edge of the Stratosphere Tower at a height of over 900 feet. This theme ride will spin you and several other passengers in the open air at speeds of up to three 'G's. You must be 54" tall and it costs about $12.

X-Scream resembles a massive teeter-totter and it propels you and several other riders headfirst, 27 feet over the edge of the Stratosphere. You must be 54” tall and the cost is about $12.

The Big Shot Las Vegas

And finally Big Shot launches you 160 feet in the air at 45 miles per hour up the Tower's mast to a height of 1,081 feet and down again, attaining four 'G's of force on the way up, and a feel of negative 'G's on the way down. You must be 48” tall to ride and the cost is about $13.

And those are 5 great things to do with kids in Las Vegas.
