Transcript:Dining in Corpus Christi
Hello, I'm Gina Miller here today for About.com with an overview of some of the best restaurants in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Great Views at Corpus Christi Restaurants
First, for great views here are two wonderful choices: Snoopy's Pier and Tavern on the Bay.
Snoopy's Pier offers authentic seafood and it's on the water. Customers like this family-run seafood restaurant for the freshness of the food and the location.
Tavern on the Bay is at the heart of the city's marina, but besides seafood you can also grab a hamburger and all kinds of salads. There's also a floating tiki bar and live music.
Delicious Seafood in Corpus Christi
If you're looking for some great seafood, the Water Street Oyster Bar serves fresh Gulf fish and shellfish. They also have a sushi bar. The ambience is wonderful, however it's located a couple blocks away from the water, so there's no scenic view.
Family-Friendly Places to Dine
Now for some family friendly restaurants.
First, The City Diner; it's an inexpensive place to take the kids for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
And then there's Joe's Crab Shack, a family favorite right on the water with a great marina view.
Fine Dining in Corpus Christi
If you want an upscale dining experience, the Republic of Texas Bar and Grill is a great choice. It boasts a panoramic view of the Gulf, and it features prime cuts of beef, plus wild game like venison and buffalo.
Finally, there's Pier 99, one of my favorites. It's home to one of the largest patio dining areas in the city and offers great views along with great fresh seafood, burgers, steak and pasta. You might even catch some live local bands.
And that was an overview of just a few dining choices in the picturesque city of Corpus Christi, on the Gulf coast of Texas.
