Where and When are the Fashion Week Events
New York City is abuzz during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Outside of the glamorous fashion shows themselves, there are so many events taking place during the week.
To know what kind of events are being held throughout the week, it is a good idea to go online to mbfashionweek.com and check out all of the happenings. Here you'll not only find the dates, times and venues for the designer’s shows, but many of the week's related events.
Also read the fashion blogs and magazine websites. Many of them list their top picks for events, along with details on where and when these are.
Getting in to Exclusive Fashion Week Events
Some fashion week events, such as those during Fashion’s Night Out, are open to all fashion-goers. For those that are more restrictive, here are some suggestions on how to get in.
Dress to impress: it's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. A stellar black dress with a couple statement jewelry pieces is perfect. If the event doesn’t have a strict door, they may just let you in for looking the part.
Use any and all connections you have. Know a relative, friend or colleague working at a magazine or a fashion house? Reach out to him or her immediately. These events are a little easier to get into than the shows, so you may have the six-degree of separation you need.
