Bistros are small, more intimate-sized restaurants, whereas a brasserie is a larger restaurant. A café is great for soups, sandwiches, and of course coffee. There are also plenty of open-air markets where you can buy fresh cheeses and breads to save a few euros.Tips are already built into your cost of you meal, so no need to leave any extra gratuity.
Tips for Dining Out in Paris in Tourist Areas
Parlez vous francais? If not, the more tourist-frequented areas may offer an English translation on their menus. You server may also speak some English.However, in these areas you may pay more for less quality. Many of the tourist areas have many restaurants offering the same repetitive menus such as fondue, pomme frites, and French onion soup.
Where to Sit When Dining Out in Paris
Where you sit in the restaurant makes a difference. Sitting on an outdoor patio, means you could paying more. Yes, in some restaurants they will charge you more for premier seating.Since you are most likely in Paris to enjoy the scenery, why not dine at the restaurant at the Eiffel tower or one of the dinner tours on the Seine River?
