Hello my name is Flo Haberfehler, my first language is German. I'm here for About.com today to teach you a few things in my language. Today, I'll be showing you how to say “thank you” in German.

How to Say Thank You: Casually

The first way to say “thank you” is just a simple way to say "thanks" means "danke.". Another way to say “thank you”, a more excited way to say "thank you" is "dankeschön." It is a more heart felt way of saying “thanks”, it's like thanks a lot.

How to Say Thank You: Formal

If something means a lot to you you can say "dankeschön." Another way of saying "thank you," if you want to describe it a little bit more. If you want to say "thank you very much" would be “danke sehr."

Thanks a lot for watching this little demonstration of the German language on About.com today. If you have further questions, if you want more information, just visit us as About.com.
