Transcript:How to Make Gluten-Free Raw Applesauce

Hi, I'm Ilyse Schapiro, pediatric dietition and nutritionist, and I'm here for About.com to show you how to make this great homemade applesauce.  It's wheat-free, healthy, and your kids are going to love it.

Ingredients for Gluten-Free Raw Applesauce

So, to make homemade applesauce that's wheat free, you're gonna take:

  • 4 Macintosh apples that have been peeled and chopped
  • 1 tbsp. of brown sugar
  • a pinch of cinnamon

Make the Gluten-Free Raw Applesauce

So, first we're going to put the apples into a blender, next the brown sugar, next the cinnamon.  Next, you're gonna puree it to its desired consistency. Then sprinkle a little bit of cinnamon on top and you're good to go.
