Transcript:Flowers for a Pink Bridal Bouquet

Hi, I'm John Grady, with Halls Atlanta Floral Design School. Today, we're going to talk about pink flowers, and flowers that work well in the bouquet, and some of the meanings of these flowers.

Choosing Flowers for a Pink Bouquet

The first one we're going to work with is a hydrangea. A hydrangea represents perseverance. So it's a great thing in a bouquet, as I feel that perseverance is something that really works in a marriage. You preserver to make that marriage work.

They will take on color if you want to add either more pink to them, or if they're white you want to add blue, or if they're blue, add a little green.

We're also going to talk about gerbers, or gerber daisies in this case. Gerbers tend to hold up very well. They're very plentiful, and the daisy stands for innocence. So, its a great flower to have in your bouquet.

We're also going to discuss a little bit about the veronica. And veronica is a true image. It's more of a summer flower, but it's a great loose, airy flower to add to your bouquet to keep it from being too compact. It will add a little height, a little depth and a little texture.

More on Choosing Flowers for a Pink Bouquet

Wax flowers come in pink. They're great flowers again for a filler in a bouquet.

With this bouquet that I've already made, we've incorporated a lily and a rose as well. And the lily represents keeping unwanted visitors away, and the rose represents perfect happiness.

When you want to choose which flowers you would like to work with in your bouquet, if you know that you are going to have a color theme, they have the fan decks. And in the this fan deck, it will tell you all of the flowers that are available in pink, or the color you that you choose, when they're available, and what the growing season is.
