Transcript:Low Carb Lemon and Herb Crusted Grilled SalmonHi, I'm Roblé for about.com. Today I'm going to show you how to make a very easy, low carb, lemon herb crusted salmon. Here we go. Low Carb Lemon Crusted Salmon Ingredients Here are our ingredients:
- 1 6 ounce salmon fillet
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- nonstick cooking spray
- kosher salt
- black pepper
Season the SalmonFirst we want to take our salmon fillet and season it on both sides with kosher salt and black pepper. First we want to take our parsley, thyme and lemon zest and mix it in the bottom of the plate. Get in there with your fingers and try to fully incorporate all three of the ingredients together. It is nicely mixed all in the middle. Now we are going to cross our same. You want to take your piece of salmon and press it firmly into the herbs. Pull that off, and you see you have a very nicely lemon herb crusted salmon which is ready to cook.
Cook the Low Carb SalmonAnd now we are ready to get cooking. Open up the grill. I am using a George Foreman style grilling machine. Spray and some cooking spray and add the salmon right in the middle of the grill. Close it up. Four minutes later the salmon is perfectly cooked. Not overcooked and not undercooked. You can take it off of the grill. So here is your lemon herb crusted salmon. Serve it with a couple slices of lemon in your favorite low carb salad.
