Hi, I'm Don Schechter for About.com Computing. Today I will show you how to customize your Microsoft Money homepage, so that you can personalize your settings to work more easily.

Open Microsoft Money

First, open up MS Money. I have the MS Money Essentials version. You will be brought to the MS Money homepage.

You know you're on the homepage if the Home tab is open on the upper left corner of the screen.

You will see other tabs, including Banking, Bills, Reports, and Budgets. To access any of these pages, click on the corresponding tab.

Customize the MS Money Homepage

If you decide you want to customize the homepage to fit your needs, go to the upper right corner of the screen. Click on 'Customize Content' or 'Layout.'

You will be brought to a new page where you will see a long box on the left and categories on the right. The items in the left box are not included on the homepage. The categories on the right are represented on your current homepage.

Add Items to MS Money Homepage

If you want to add an item to the homepage, select it in the left box, and then click 'Add.' I will choose Latest Mortgage Interest Rates. You will see it appear with the other categories on the right.

Remove Items From MS Money Homepage

To remove one of the categories from your homepage, select it on the right and click 'Remove.' I will remove Reminders.

You will see it appear in the box on the left after it had been removed.

Move Categories on the MS Money Homepage

To move your categories around, select one on the right. Then click the 'Move Up,' 'Down,' 'Left,' or 'Right' buttons to change its position.

When you are satisfied, click 'Done' at the bottom of the screen. You will now see your updated homepage. Remember that you can always edit your homepage again by clicking on 'Customize Content or Layout.'

Customize Bills Page

Also, if you go to the Bills page by clicking on its tab, you can customize it by clicking on 'Customize View' on the upper right of the screen. You can adjust the items on the page in the same way you did on the homepage.

Once you have customized your homepage, you can continue to enter in your financial information and be able to access relevant information.
