Hi I’m Lisa Holladay, for About.com. and we’re here at the Mercedes Benz Star Lounge for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in NYC.
When and Where is New York Fashion Week
So how about some tips on how to attend New York City’s Fashion Week. Well, first of all – When and where to go? Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week happens every February and September at the cultural heart of New York City, Lincoln Center. The entire week is abuzz with the latest designers showing the up and coming fashions for the next season.
Attending NY Fashion Week Shows
So, I’m sure you’re all wondering, how do you actually get in to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, well, it’s not that easy. You either have to be an invited guest of the designer, a member of the press covering the show, a fashion editor, or one of those VIP celebrities.
Hotels for New York Fashion Week
If you don’t live in NYC where should you stay? Well, NYC has some of the finest, most amazing hotels in the entire world, but if I were you, I stay at one of the hotels right across the street from Lincoln Center, that way you can stay out late enjoying the fashion parties and even catch a disco nap during some of the shows.
What are you going to see at Mercedes Benz Fashion week the latest most amazing creations from designers all over the world. This year I’m especially excited about the Mercedes Benz presents designer Naeem Khan he makes the most incredible one-of-a-kind dresses and you’ll see lots of them on the red carpet during award season.
What to Wear to New York Fashion Week
So the question I’m asked the most often about Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, is what to wear? Well it’s a great question, because all the Fashionista’s are here in town this week, if it’s February make sure you bring a warm coat it is cold here, and in September, you can start rocking the latest, greatest, Fall fashions. Don’t forget your flats thou, you’re going to need them to catch all of the shows.
