Sometimes you may not realize that it's the wrong color, not the wrong outfit. The colors you wear should complement your skin tone.Hi, I'm Jazmin Whitley, designer of the Li Cari Label, here for About.com. I'm going to help you pick out the colors that best suit your skin tone.
Different Types of Skin Tones
Here are three different types of skin tones: Tia with darker skin, Khristynne with fair skin, and Amanda with olive or medium skin.How to Dress for Your Skin Tones
Tia should avoid wearing browns, black, and orange, and go towards plum, lavender, soft neutrals, and pastels.Khristynne should avoid wearing white, pastels, and gold, and go for darker colors like black, grays, and red.
Amanda should avoid wearing golden undertones, like caramel, orange, and brown, and go for colors like pink, red, and blue tones.
