Transcript:How to Temporarily Allow Pop-Ups in Firefox
Hi I'm Omar Saad, here for About.com and today we're going to take a look at how to temporarily allow pop-ups in Firefox, using an article from About.com's Family Computing site.
Pop-ups can be an annoying distraction when you are surfing the web and thankfully most browsers do a good job of blocking them. However, sometimes temporarily allowing pop-ups is a necessity. Here is a quick step-by-step guide on how to do that in Firefox.
Allow Pop-Ups in Firefox
Begin by going to the tools menu and clicking on "Options." Then click on "Content." Then to disable all of the pop-ups, simply uncheck the "Block Pop-Up Windows" box. If you want to disable pop-ups for just one site click on "Exceptions." Then enter the URL for the site which you would like to allow pop-ups for. Then close the window and click "Ok."
Disable Pop-Ups for Firefox
If you allow pop-ups for a site and then want to remove them later, simply go back to the "Exceptions" screen and click on the URLs that you want to enable the pop-up blocker for and then click "Remove Site." Then click "Ok" and close the window.
Tips for Allowing and Disabling Pop-Ups in Firefox
Allowing pop-ups is sometimes necessary and if you use Firefox, following the simple steps just detailed will allow you to disable its built in pop-up blocker.
