Instructions for How to Tie Dye a Towel With Sprayable Dye

Cover your work surface with a plastic garbage bag, or newspaper and secure with tape. Lay your towel, flat, on the newspaper or plastic. To avoid paint drips, follow the tips from the manufacturer, who suggest you start spraying on a paper towel. Then move to your project. End the same way. Add as many or as few colors as you want. Once you are done applying the dye to your towel, set it aside and let it dry.

More Information About How to Tie Dye a Towel With Sprayable Dye

For variation, use cut-out letters to create phrases on your towel. Carefully peel off the letters and place them on your towel. Once you have the letters where you want, press down firmly so that no dye gets under the edges. Put on rubber gloves. Decorate with a sprayable fabric dye. Once it is dry enough to touch, dab off any wet dye on the letters using a paper towel. Then pull off the letters to show your finished product. Follow the washing and drying instructions that came with your sprayable fabric dye.
